"Baby Milayna just woke up from a 2 1/2 hour nap in her Sleepy Wrap just as I finished with the last of the laundry. This morning I have done the dishes, caught up on emails, made the shopping list, followed up phone calls and a little web surfing while she was asleep. "If you could only pick one baby product to buy - this is it. I tried Hotslings - a pouch style sling, and although it worked reasonably well for the first month, my son soon grew too big to be comfortable. He didn't fit well inside and my left arm was uncomfortably restrained. Further, there was no stretch to the material, so it was hard to adjust his position. When he started to cry and arch his back when I tried to put him in the sling, I moved to the Hotmamasling - a ring style sling. As with the pouch sling, the mobility of my arm was restricted. Additionally, the sling didn't secure him close to my body, so that if I leaned over or tried to carry things, I had to hold him with one arm. Further, the ring dug into my shoulder and after an hour my back and shoulder were too uncomfortable. So next I tried the Snugli - a front carrier. My son liked it, and could breastfeed easily, if not discreetly. But, again, he was not secure if I leaned over and the straps dug into my shoulders and the weight hurt my back. After reading the testimonies on your site, I decided to try one last time. The Sleepy Wrap was easy to put on, and after a day or two I had mastered getting my son comfortably positioned. Now I wear the wrap all the time, and the baby in it most of the time. Its easy to put on the wrap and take him in and out as needed. This is particularly lovely when running errands. It's also the perfect solution for getting work done. He will sleep for 3 and 4 hours at a time when inside the sling and I can cook, do laundry, draft documents and send emails. I'm getting things done just as effectively as before he was born, except I also have the pleasure of keeping my son against my body where he feels safe and secure. Breastfeeding is also made easier, because I don't feel struck in my chair. I love my baby, but I am also most satisfied when I feel productive. I truly feel that having this tool makes me a better mother, because I can mother him and stay active. When he is awake and we are out and about he seems to stay calmer longer and become less tired, because he can interact from the safety of his wrap. "My 19 month old son recently came down with a terrible ear infection that required a visit to the emergency ward. I hadn't carried him in the Sleepy Wrap for a long time as he prefers to walk (and run!) everywhere, but I popped it in my bag before rushing out the door to the hospital. So glad I did! We had to wait for ages and my son required constant carrying and attention. "I want to thank you for this fabulous baby holder! i just gave birth to my fifth baby and have tried everything from the bjorn to the sling type of carriers! With five kids i have about 15 different brands and styles of carriers all in the hope of finding one that was comfortable! I was needing a carrier to take to yellowstone on our family vacation when my son will be 3 months old. I wanted one early in his life so he could get used to it and both of us would be comfortable nursing while walking and hiking! "The Sleepy Wrap is the best baby invention yet! I bought one to tote my 2nd baby while I chased my 4 yr old around the house and outside. "When i became pregnant, I quickly started researching different carrying methods. Initially, I believed that a ring sling or pouch sling was up my alley. Borrowing a ring sling, and then given a pouch sling, I was in heaven.... until my son more than doubled his weight in two months, and the strain on my back was crucial! "I couldn't wait to give my review of the Sleepy Wrap. It is absolutely wonderful! I was due to have our 3rd child in the middle of March. I homeschool, plus we are a very active family, so I did a ton of research to find the best wrap available that would suit our needs. I was using one of those snuggli carriers when we were out because I have always preferred carrying my son rather then leaving him in his car seat or putting him in a stroller. "I just got my sleepy wrap about two weeks ago and I love it. My daughter was born July 30 2008 and she wants to be held all the time. So my mother and I went online looking for something to put her in. We must have looked into 20 different kinds of slings. I had either already tried that style or the price was to much. "I have so many hand-me-down slings and carriers it's not even funny, but none of them made me feel like Sophie was secure, and ALL of them hurt my back. I have had my Sleepy Wrap for almost 2 months now and I don't know what I would do with out it. Today as I struggled yet again to use the New Native Sling I ordered for my newborn son he cried and squirmed and was so uncomfortable I gave up and decided I'd just carry him to the playground where I was headed with my 2 year old. "I SOOOO love your product! When my daughter (now 10 months old) was born I so wanted to carry her. And I tried ... Hoppediz, Dydimos, Baby-Carriers .... They all hurt my back, were either way too complicated (I ended up drenched when done tying, and there's no way you can adjust the space left for the baby) or plain unhealthy for both me and my child. Plus there was always this awkwardness when moving. I couldn't really do anything with her. Tried to cook once ... oh my ... So I stopped babywearing ... "The Sleepy Wrap is truly a wonderful staple. I knew from day one that I wanted to practice attachment parenting and this wrap really allows you to achieve this. Hiking is possible even with a newborn and there are no shoulder straps digging into my shoulders. I can buy ice cream, pay for it, eat it, and then wipe the chocolate moustache off of my daughter Isabela. I can crochet a scarf. I can carry the luggage and passports and hold my four year old’s hand while walking through the airport and have my baby Nikolai close and secure. I can travel anywhere and even walk the cobblestoned streets of Europe. Nikolai loves it. I love it. This baby wrap has made my life as a mother all the better.”
